What to Expect from Woods Hill Log Homes
Woods Hill Log Homes offers 35 years of expertise to guide you through the process of owning a log or timber frame home or commercial structure.
Woods Hill Log Homes offers the following:
– Meet with the customer to decide the style of home and interior to design a floor plan.
– Estimate the cost of the home to make sure it is within the customer budget.
– Assist the customer in the paperwork to order the floor plans.
– Visit the house site to plan the delivery of the materials.
– Assist the customers to make changes on the floor plans that were made by the Honest Abe drafting team.
– Be on the jobsite at delivery.
– Be available to answer builder and customer questions through the building process. If Woods Hill cannot answer a question, they will contact the appropriate person at Honest Abe that can answer the question.
What We Offer
Honest Abe Log Homes offers custom designed, manufactured and energy-efficient log, timber frame, SIP (structural insulated panels) and hybrid homes. Plans are drafted by Honest Abe’s in-house design team and are customized to each homeowner’s needs and desires.
Each log or timber frame home is pre-cut, notched and numbered using modern, state-of-the-art manufacturing methods. Only kiln-dried Eastern White pine and Douglas Fir are used, ensuring durability and stability.
Log systems are available include:
- The popular 6×8 and 8×8 milled D-Logs with butt-and-pass corners.
- The D-Log profile, 6×12 and 8×12, with dovetail corners.
- An 8×8 milled round log features an interlocking corner system unique to Honest Abe.
- Another round system is the 10” log with saddle notched logs and Swedish-coped corners.
- The Genesis log system is a “square” system available in 6×12 or 8×12 logs with dovetailed corners. Options include exterior chinking or hand-hewing.
- The 6×10 Original Chinked has dovetailed corners and chinking inside
and out.
